Bending Spoons, Milan Office Credit: Bending Spoons “We’ve received around 50,000 applications from Poland so far this year, more than twice as many as the whole of 2025,” said Andrea Maiorana, Bending Spoons’ talent data lead. The Milan company said on Monday that it has opened an office in Warsaw. It is the company’s fourth office in Europe. The others are its Milan headquarters and bases in London and Madrid.
The Warsaw office sits in Śródmieście, the city centre district. The company said it is within walking distance of the Presidential Palace and the University of Warsaw. Bending Spoons said it will use the base to recruit locally, across what it described as key projects. It issued the announcement in English, Italian and Polish on the same day.
Maiorana said the volume of applications was not the only thing that stood out. Polish candidates are among the strongest the company sees in its selection process, he said. The student talent has been particularly impressive. “More than half of our recent hires from Poland were still studying when they applied.” What the company has spent 2026 doing The Warsaw opening arrives at the end of a year of transactions. Bending Spoons filed for a US listing on 8 June, described then as the Milan firm behind Evernote and Vimeo.
On 22 June it set out pricing of up to $1.62bn, targeting a $19bn valuation on Nasdaq. The deal came in higher. On 1 July the company priced above its range and raised $1.68bn ahead of its Nasdaq debut. Later that month the Italian export credit agency SACE backed a €500m loan earmarked for further acquisitions.
Two purchases followed. Bending Spoons agreed to buy Airtable for $1.285bn in early August, saying it was committed for the long run. It then agreed to buy Miro for $1.355bn on 10 September, weeks after the Airtable deal. Those two agreements come to $2.64bn of announced acquisitions inside six weeks.
Monday’s release lists the company’s main businesses as Airtable, AOL, Brightcove, Eventbrite, Evernote, Tractive, Vimeo and WeTransfer. The roles, and the terms attached Bending Spoons said it is hiring in Warsaw for software engineering, AI research, product and growth management, data and design, among other roles. New hires are encouraged to spend their first few months in Milan. The company said it covers travel and accommodation for that period in full.
For people relocating to Warsaw, it said it covers travel and shipping costs, plus up to four months of temporary accommodation. It also covers the cost of commuting to and from the office. Three programmes aimed at students The release sets out three student initiatives, which is where the hiring figures point. This month the company hosted First Ascent Poland.
It was a three-day retreat in Milan for tech students and recent graduates. Across 2026 the company says it will award more than €1,000,000 in scholarships to students in Europe. It does not break that figure down by country. Bending Spoons also supported the 2026 ICPC Central Europe Regional Contest.
That is the regional round of the International Collegiate Programming Contest, the university programming competition. The company said it will continue the partnership in 2027. How the company describes its own model The release restates the strategy Bending Spoons has run for more than a decade. It acquires digital businesses.
It then applies what it calls deep transformations and ongoing optimisations to expand earnings. It reinvests the proceeds in further acquisitions, which it describes as a compounding cycle. Those transformations typically involve reorganising teams and overhauling technology. They also involve redesigning user interfaces, accelerating product development, and changing marketing and monetisation.
AI, the company said, is often both a central part of the plan for an acquired business and a tool for carrying that plan out. The release adds that the company has never sold a material business. To mark the opening, Bending Spoons is hosting a networking event at the Warsaw office. It said attendees will tour the space and meet people from the local tech scene.
