Local leadership has vowed accountability and prioritization of human lives during the ongoing crisis. Addressing regional media outlets, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta declared, “The most important thing for us is to save the lives of these students. Rescue operations will carry on,” before adding, “I assure you we won’t spare the guilty,”. Expressing national sympathy, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office posted on X: “Condolences to those who lost their loved ones. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. Authorities are working at the site and assisting those affected in the mishap,”.
