Alpine’s Pierre Gasly has lost his third-place finish from June’s Monaco Grand Prix again after his penalties from the race were reinstated after a successful appeal by McLaren and Red Bull. It means Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar reclaims third place with McLaren’s Oscar Piastri back into fourth. Gasly is reclassified in seventh place with Racing Bulls’ Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad fifth and sixth respectively. The June 7 race was won by Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli with Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton second.

Gasly finished third on the road but was originally classified in seventh after two unserved five-second time penalties for pit-lane speeding were applied immediately after the chequered flag. Alpine won a right of review case five days later after presenting new evidence to stewards showing Gasly had not, in fact, been speeding, which at that point saw the penalties annulled.
