He joined The Verge in 2019 after nearly two years at Techmeme.Grokipedia, SpaceXAI’s AI-powered competitor to Wikipedia, recently started incorporating edits again, and today, it got some design tweaks as part of a v0.3 update, including a new logo and refreshes to its homepage and live edits page. SpaceXAI head of design Benji Taylor calls it a “newly refreshed Grokipedia.”Grokipedia’s old homepage was pretty much just a logo and a search bar, but the updated homepage includes a list of featured articles, a list of the most-read articles, and a tracker showing the “latest edits.” The new featured list showcases digital representations of books that you can spin around, and the most read section also uses the book metaphor with a horizontally-scrolling shelf of “book” spines. On the new live edits page, it’s easier to see more of the recent changes at once. The Internet Archive has a recent archive of the old homepage, which is more sparse.

Otherwise, at least from what I can tell, articles themselves look largely the same. You can also check out the old article design on the Internet Archive. Screenshot by Jay Peters / The VergeThe site initially launched in v0.1 in late October 2025 with AI-cloned pages from Wikipedia, and a v0.2 update arrived a month later. But earlier this year, it appeared that Grokipedia stopped making updates altogether, with Lawfare publishing a report in August where it said that “As far as we can tell, no entry has changed in more than three months.” Given these recent updates, it appears there is some interest inside SpaceXAI toward Grokipedia once again, but the company didn’t immediately reply to a request for comment.Follow topics and authors from this story to see more like this in your personalized homepage feed and to receive email updates.Jay PetersAIElon MuskNewsTechMost PopularApple’s ‘HomePad’ will reportedly launch on October 13thOpenAI launches Dots, its Muse competitorSamsung gives its two-year-old Galaxy Tab S Plus an overhaulAmazon’s new Fire TV Stick 4K can pull power directly from your TVThe Sonos Ace Ultra are the headphones Sonos should have made the first timeAdvertiser Content FromThis is the title for the native ad
