Credit: Haier TL;DRHaier’s IFA 2026 stand replaces the usual feature-list chaos with a design-first smart home environment. Aura Collection’s light-reactive grey finish unifies ovens, hobs and hoods into one visual plane. Multi Care Laundry Studio fits four independent drums in a 598mm-deep unibody. Maestro refrigeration uses AI to recognize food and manage freshness.
UltraSense AI adapts TV picture and sound scene by scene. The through-line: AI as stagehand, not star, intelligence that learns context and steps aside. Berlin‘s Messe halls are usually a chaos of flashing screens and feature lists shouted over the din. Walk into Hall 3.1, Stand 101 this year and the noise drops.
What greets you is not another wall of black boxes. It is a carefully lit landscape of surfaces that shift with the light, continuous lines that feel more like furniture than appliances, and an atmosphere that whispers rather than screams. Haier is calling it the “Home of Intelligent Possibilities.” The phrase is more than branding. It is a statement of intent: technology that disappears into design so thoroughly that the only thing left is a better way of living.
The first thing that stops you is colour, or rather the absence of the usual appliance palette. Aura Collection’s Aura Grey finish interacts with ambient light the way good architecture does. Depth appears and vanishes depending on the angle. Reflections soften.
Shade shifts. Its distinctive Aura Grey is applied to glass surfaces through a specific treatment that creates its characteristic shade and finish while also providing anti-fingerprint properties. It is a material language that lets ovens, hobs, hoods and microwaves dissolve into the same visual plane. In a kitchen that already feels more gallery than utility room, the coordinated pieces read as one continuous gesture.
This is design as identity, not decoration. Haier is treating the appliance stack the way a high-end interior architect treats cabinetry: something that should elevate the room rather than interrupt it. That same restraint runs through the drainage connection of Multi Care Laundry Studio. One plug, one water connection, one drainage connection and one full-touch TFT that controls all four drums.
Four independent drums live inside a single unibody architecture only 598 mm deep. The flat-door front is almost severe in its cleanliness. One plug, one water connection, one full-touch TFT that controls everything. The visual noise of traditional laundry rooms, bulky boxes, protruding controls, mismatched finishes, is simply gone.
What remains is a calm vertical plane that could sit in a loft apartment without apology. AI Sense wakes the screen as you approach. Knock Sense and Wave Sense let you open drums with a tap or gesture. The technology is present, but it never demands attention.
It waits. Move deeper into the stand and the Maestro refrigeration prototype continues the same argument. Flush surfaces. Continuous lines.
Stainless-steel interiors lit by panoramic lighting. A soft-touch silicone panel that feels closer to a high-end audio remote than a fridge door. The AI Defrost Zone uses intelligent sensors and Haier’s proprietary technology to defrost food gently, helping prevent juice loss and preserve texture and nutritional value. AI Food Care System 2.0 recognises stored food, recommends the best way to preserve it over time and supports more informed stock management.
Yet none of this is announced by blinking lights or conversational AI that insists on chatting. The object itself remains beautiful and tactile. Design leads; technology serves. The same philosophy scales up dramatically in the entertainment zone.
UltraSense AI, powered by Haier’s SR UltraSense processor, analyses image and sound in real time and adjusts without asking permission. AI Cinema recognises scenes and pushes colour, contrast, depth and motion accordingly. AI Sound separates dialogue. AI Game reduces lag and tearing.
AI Eye Caring adapts to ambient light and content so the set is kinder to eyes during long sessions. Selected models carry Sound by KEF for genuine spatial balance. Formats run from QD-Mini LED and OLED through to a 163-inch Micro LED showcase that is less a television than a modular, pixel-level continuous surface. The experience is immersive without being aggressive.
You are not watching a screen that is trying to impress you with its processing power. You are simply inside the content, free to forget the machinery. This is the through-line of the entire “Home of Intelligent Possibilities.” AI is not the star. It is the stagehand.
In the AI Vision Sense works alongside the AI Power Sense System, an integrated ecosystem of nine sensors that detects parameters including load weight and balance, water level and temperature, and adjusts dosing, drum movement, motor operation and programme settings accordingly. AI Memory learns habits. Ultra Fresh Air Pro keeps laundry fresh for twelve hours after the cycle. The result is laundry that requires less decision-making, not more conversation with a machine.
In the ID Ultimate Series 6 oven, the oven’s AI Vision recognises food, monitors progress and stops at the result you chose. While in ID Hob Series 6, the induction hob follows the pan. The MotionSense controls the hood by gesture. Sensors and algorithms do the optimisation; the user simply sets the desired intensity or outcome.
The system finds the most efficient path. Creative freedom increases because cognitive load decreases. MotionSense controls the hood by gesture, while HumanSense detects presence and activates the lighting. Live cooking sessions with Tommaso Arrigoni, Haier’s Chef Ambassadors, make the point physical.
In a space that already feels like a contemporary open-plan home, chefs work the ID Ultimate Series 6 oven, Pure Flavour Steam functions and active induction surfaces in real time. Visitors watch food recognised, probes used, steam and heat orchestrated, and results delivered with almost no intervention. The demonstration is not about the cleverness of the silicon. It is about the quiet confidence of a kitchen that lets the cook stay in the creative flow.
The same atmosphere extends across the stand: soft lighting, coherent material language, products arranged as environments rather than product rows. You move from laundry to cooling to cooking to entertainment without the usual visual whiplash of a trade-show floor. The home feels continuous because the design language is continuous. Haier has spent years building the world’s only IoT ecosystem brand ranked in Kantar BrandZ’s Top 100 for eight consecutive years and claiming the global No. 1 major-appliance brand by sales volume position for seventeen.
At IFA 2026 Haier is not leading with those numbers. It is leading with the feeling of a finished room. Aura Grey that shifts with light. Multi Care’s unibody calm.
Maestro’s flush tactility. UltraSense immersion at domestic and cinematic scale. AI that watches, learns and adjusts so that people can reclaim time, reduce waste, keep food better, cook with less friction and watch with greater presence. The technology is sophisticated, cameras, sensor arrays, real-time algorithms, independent multi-drum architectures, pixel-level Micro LED control, but it is deliberately unobtrusive.
The point is not to marvel at the machine. The point is to live better because the machine has already understood the context and stepped aside. That is the quiet radicalism on display in Hall 3.1. In an industry still addicted to feature checklists and louder AI personalities, Haier is betting that the next phase of the smart home will be defined by design that elevates lifestyle and intelligence that stays out of the way.
