Baaeed and Hukum’s brother Raaheeb resumes his promising career when he goes for Group 3 honours in the Winter Hill Stakes from Windsor; Racing also takes place from Newton Abbot and Wolverhampton – with a total of 22 domestic races being shown live on Sky Sports Racing. The Shadwell-owned Raaheeb returns to the racetrack this afternoon, live on Sky Sports Racing. The classy Raaheeb aims to resume his progression in the Weatherbys Global Stallions App Winter Hill Stakes. A brother to top class performers Baaeed and Hukum, Raaheeb began his career perfectly with a nice success at two, before taking the Classic Trial at Sandown in terrific fashion.

He then ran creditably when fourth in the Irish Derby, travelling up like a genuine challenger before tiring late under Rossa Ryan. The time given to help Raaheeb develop physically and mentally could set him up for a nice return to the track and he should be tough to beat in calmer waters, even under a penalty. Venetian Prince goes for the in-form Andrew Balding yard, having won the Italian Derby in June. However, Jason Watson’s mount will have to put a Royal Ascot no-show behind him, when he was outpaced over three furlongs out in the King Edward VII Stakes.

Conversely, Maho Bay ran creditably at the Royal meeting and connections could have considered themselves unlucky to have ran into trouble in the home straight. He remains unexposed and can provide the biggest threat for a yard going well. See the latest horse racing news, interviews and features from Sky Sports Racing Crest Of Fire and Harmonics have been progressing through handicaps but would need to take a significant step forward to win up in grade. Edelak resumed winning ways at Stratford in July after falling on his penultimate start when a likely winner. He has now won four of his last five – and doing so rather easily – with a small break after a busy period likely to see him put in a career best. He has won three of his last four and looked particularly good last time out when scoring with a fair bit in hand. Although on a fair mark and back over hurdles, War Correspondent has not had the best preparation coming into this with two poor runs over fences, so Ellerton is the main threat to the former two with an encouraging win back over hurdles on his CV after a breathing operation. Progressive filly Brunhilde steps up in trip in the Follow @attheraces On Instagram Handicap. George Boughey’s filly has progressed with each run since making her debut in May and connections’ patience was rewarded when she won by over five lengths at Lingfield when last seen.

She is stoutly bred, being closely related to Godolphin’s listed winner Ghostwatch, so the step up to one-mile and six furlongs should yield more improvement. Last Verse won very nicely at Lingfield on his last start and remains relatively unexposed and on the right side of the handicap. Level Look should be able to progress from his promising Chester second place after being at a disadvantage when too far back at the Shergar Cup last month. Robusto won last time and can be competitive, albeit his higher all-weather mark means he has less scope in his mark than his more unexposed rivals.
