Beau Greaves made more darting history as she became the first woman to win a match on the PDC’s European Tour – a feat that secured her a second-round clash with Luke Humphries at the Czech Darts Open. The 22-year-old rallied from 3-1 down to beat Daryl Gurney 6-4 in Prague on Friday night and will now play world No 2 Humphries in the last-32 on Saturday evening, with the winner meeting Nathan Aspinall or Andrew Gilding in round three on Sunday. Greaves’ latest landmark moment follows becoming the first woman to hit a nine-darter on the PDC Pro Tour, against Mensur Suljovic back in February, and the first to win a PDC ranking title, doing so when she edged Michael Smith 8-7 at Players Championship 11. She was also the first woman to qualify for a European Tour event when she reached last month’s Hungarian Darts Trophy.

Greaves lost to Rob Cross in the first round in Budapest but her run in Prague will now last at least one more match after defeating Gurney, a player she had suffered a narrow 3-2 loss to in round one of the 2026 World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace. The Yorkshirewoman pinned double one to clinch victory over ‘Superchin’ in the Czech Republic. Elsewhere on Friday, Niko Springer routed Martin Homola 6-0 to book a second-round meeting with world No 1 Luke Littler, while Joe Cullen and Dirk van Duijvenbode were big-name casualties, dumped out by Stephen Burton and Mario Vandenbogaerde respectively. Sky Sports remains the home of darts with the World Grand Prix (September 28-October 4), Grand Slam of Darts (November 14-22) and World Darts Championship (December 10-January 3) all live.
