He’s covered the tech industry for over 18 years and knows a thing or two about synths. After hackers stole a shocking $6.3 billion from Binance customers in a record-breaking crypto heist, the company’s CEO says that 90 percent of the funds have been replaced, and the company plans to cover the remaining 10 percent as well. Binance is covering the stolen funds directly, and the remaining 10 percent consists of “less liquid” tokens, which the company says may take longer to acquire. The company also said in a post on X that, while withdrawals remain paused, they’re on track to be enabled on Sunday. Our commitment remains the same: Binance will fully cover the financial impact of the funds stolen in this incident. We will continue to demonstrate this commitment through measurable progress, transparent reporting, and concrete actions. Our next milestone in focus is resuming the withdrawal services for users.

We remain on track to reopen withdrawals within our previously stated timeframe (on Sunday, 2026-11-01) and will provide a further update as soon as details are confirmed.Follow topics and authors from this story to see more like this in your personalized homepage feed and to receive email updates.Terrence O’BrienCryptoNewsTechMost PopularSam Altman says it’s better for RAM to be in a data center than on your deskThe Apple Pencil turned the Duo into my new favorite notebookSam Altman sympathizes with mathematicians, but says OpenAI’s math onslaught won’t stopI built an AI Tamagotchi before Meta couldThe HomeView and Echo Show 16 could be the family computers I’ve been asking forAdvertiser Content FromThis is the title for the native ad
